For less able, younger Y7 students, they can access free ebooks through the Oxford Owl website http://www.oxfordowl.co.uk (aimed at primary aged students). Stories can be accessed as ebooks or audiobooks. I have set up a student log-in as username: Thomas / password: Tallis
For older Y7-Y11 students, there are many websites which offer access to FREE ebooks. Many students have smartphones or access to a computer so can download these books, set bookmarks, make the text larger and have the text read aloud. Please let me know if you recommend any good sites, here is just a sample:
* http://www.books4all.org.uk/Home/
* http://load2learn.org.uk
* https://www.free-ebooks.net
For GCSE revision - please encourage the use of GCSEpod and BBC Bitesize which are multi sensory
